Our Journey Began With A Vision
My name is P. Dharmaraj, Founder of VPS. Our journey started in 2014 when we purchased a coconut grove in the village of Upparpatti (Veerapandi) and ventured into farming. The region faced significant water scarcity challenges, which led us to explore innovative agricultural solutions.
We implemented a drip irrigation system in our banana plantation, and the results were extraordinary. Not only did we witness remarkable crop yields, but we also achieved substantial cost savings in water consumption and labor. This transformative experience ignited my passion for modern agricultural technology and its potential to revolutionize farming practices.
Over the next five years, we expanded our operations by acquiring an acre of land near Tirthathotti Murugan Temple on the route to Bodi. Consistently implementing advanced farming systems across our farms yielded impressive returns and reinforced our belief in sustainable agricultural methods. This hands-on experience became the foundation for our mission to serve the farming community.
Empowering Farmers Across India
Witnessing the multiple benefits of modern agricultural systems - reduced water consumption, lower operational costs, enhanced crop productivity, and sustainable farming practices - motivated me to make this technology accessible to the farming community at large.
We initially began assisting farmers in setting up agricultural systems through government subsidy programs. However, we identified significant gaps in the process. Many farmers encountered challenges navigating the subsidy scheme and struggled with the high costs of setting up systems independently.
This realization sparked an innovative solution: to provide affordable, high-quality agricultural products directly to farmers at wholesale prices with zero margin. We established strategic partnerships with leading manufacturers across India, enabling us to procure products at competitive rates and pass these savings directly to our customers.
On May 18, 2022 (Wednesday), we officially launched our showroom in Theni district, marking the beginning of VPS. Today, we proudly serve farmers and dealers alike through our three specialized divisions, offering premium products at the same transparent pricing - ensuring complete customer satisfaction and contributing to sustainable agricultural practices throughout India.
